Taylor grew up in a small town in South Carolina. Throughout college, she worked in restaurants, starting off as a host and quickly moving on to server. After receiving a Business Degree in Entrepreneurship from Winthrop University, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she continued to work in restaurants as a server and bartender. Her passion for the industry and working with people kept her moving through different positions and soaking up any knowledge available. She began to round out her restaurant expertise by taking over positions in the kitchen, working as an Expeditor. After moving on to a national restaurant chain based out of Charlotte, she opened several locations across the country, working as Bartender, Bar Manager, and Service Trainer.
Through working in the many facets of the restaurant business she found out her real passion was in the finances and the core of the business. She focused on developing her knowledge and skills in the office and corporate offices of restaurants.
In 2009, Taylor moved to New York City to further her career in the hospitality industry and surround herself with people and restaurants who excel. Getting a job offer her first day in the city, allowed her the ability to get her foot in the door right away – starting at Jean Georges’ Spice Market in the Meatpacking District, which would soon become the position of Restaurant Controller. In 2011, Taylor joined up with In Good Company taking a position at Park Avenue Tavern. As the company grew, the full time position of Corporate Controller was added to oversee the daily finances of all locations within the company. She was able to help streamline processes for all the restaurants providing structure and the ability to grow as a company.
