KEEPING ON TRACK Accountability Program returns for 2010
The KEEPING ON TRACK Accountability is a great way to build structure and accountability for you and your business. Participants will consistently meet with a group of business owners and help one another set and achieve goals, prioritize, stay focused and motivated, gain feedback and ideas and in general keep each other moving in the right direction!

We have structured each group to include 8 participants and to meet bi-weekly for about 3 months. Each week you will have an opportunity to report your progress, solicit feedback and develop goals for the following weeks. After a kickoff meeting with Adelaide & Amy, group participants will be given guidelines and take turns facilitating the remainder of the gatherings.

Meetings will be held on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11am.

  • Group A will start on January 5.
  • Group B will start on January 12.

Mom Business Owner Affinity Group: Grandparents and Future Grandparents – listen up!
January 21, 12 – 2pm

Hi everyone! We’re really looking forward to part II of the “intergenerational exchange” conversation we started in November at the mom business owner affinity group.

We had a fascinating and lively discussion about parenting young children that began with lessons learned shared by “parents with distance” (aka – IGC moms whose children are now adults). This time around, our discussion will be focused on successfully navigating the grandparent experience. Newer moms will have a chance to share stories about their relationships with their in-laws (and their own parents in the role of grandparents) and offer their perspectives on healthy / not-so-healthy grandparent – grandchild dynamics.

The goal is to help more veteran moms begin thinking about the ingredients for building healthy relationships with their own future sons / daughters-in-law and grandchildren. We also hope that women who are in the midst of negotiating less-than-ideal grandparent behavior from their in-laws and parents will be able to take away concrete tips for bringing about a positive change from others who have been in their shoes.

We expect this to be an informal conversation that will likely include some of the following topics:

  • What we WANT from our in-laws / parents when we become parents
  • What we DON’T want from our in-laws / parents when we become parents
  • Expectations overall
  • Handling boundary issues and other difficult conversations
  • Funny/ crazy stories about interactions we have had with grandparents
  •

BABYBITES & IN GOOD COMPANY WORKPLACES PRESENT: HAVE YOUR BABY AND YOUR BUSINESS TOO!

January 26, 7-9pm
Motherhood is an incredible time to re-evaluate your professional goals and opportunities. In recent years, starting your own business has become an increasingly popular option for new moms.

For some women, starting their own business is a dream that they have always had, while for others it is an option they have only begun to consider. Often going back to a former career proves to be an unappealing option, and going out on their own seems to be the best way to attain the balance, flexibility, autonomy, and creative outlet that they desire.

Regardless of the origin, the questions are inevitable…Is it possible? What should I know? Where do I to start?

Come join In Good Company Workplaces and BabyBites for an evening of discussion with several successful moms who have created awesome business to meet their creative, professional and family needs.
