Q&A

How does In Good Company work?

Through an online bidding process, In Good Company provides a dining forum for aspiring and current small business owners to connect with chief executive officers, chairmen of the board, corporate executives, company leaders and industry experts.

What is the purpose of these forums?

These lunch forums provide knowledge-exchange opportunities while benefiting Count-Me-In. In Good Company, through an affiliation with Entrepreneur, creates a network/forum where small business owners can meet and learn from these business influencers while making the world a better place.

Why did Nancy Michaels decide to establish In Good Company?

After personally benefiting from bidding $1,050 on lunch with Bruce Nelson, former CEO of Office Depot at Office Depot’s Success Strategies for Businesswomen Conference, Nancy realized the value that such a program could bring to other entrepreneurs.  If small business owners like her could have the opportunity to be face-to-face with key decision-makers, the new business partnerships and advocacies formed would be incredible.  Nancy’s $1,050 bid went to Count-Me-In and she decided that she wanted proceeds from In Good Company to also go to Count-Me-In, whose goals of providing funding and opportunity to businesswomen are in line with Nancy’s.

For what will dollars bid be used?

In return for his or her time, Count-Me-In will receive a donation from In Good Company. Furthermore, the In Good Company Foundation, funded from meeting proceeds, will provide contributions and grants to help start-up business owners realize their dream.

Who can bid?

Anyone interested in making a connection and contribution to meet directly with a business influencer, such as executive officers, chairmen of the board, corporate executives, company leaders and industry experts.

How will the E-Bay process work?

EBay will allow an international audience to view and bid on the opportunity to connect with a business executive.  Just as with a traditional auction, the lunch opportunity up for bid can be viewed by anyone interested and the highest bidder wins.

Once a candidate has committed to volunteering their time, biographical information, charity information, personal statements and pictures are put into a template that is sent to eBay.  This auction listing immediately appears on eBay and is open to bids.
