Interview Tidbit: Sara Holoubek, Luminary Labs

Luminary Labs

We had been introduced to Sara Holoubek by Cari Sommer and  knew from the get go that she was a mover and a shaker. Case in point – check out her recently published  “Field Guide to Female Founders, Influencers, & Deal Makers”

We were excited to have the opportunity to go visit Sara and learn more about her venture, Luminary Labs  and chat with her about her path and entrepreneurship in general.

Here are a few of the things we walked away thinking about:

Adelaide:I love that she uses the very successful example that her father set (growing a company for 40 years and then selling it) as a model for how to think about her own company. She is always thinking about how to create value and is determined to build a company that “races to the top” to use a Linchpin analogy (– thanks, Seth Godin)!

Amy: Sara shifted her business model from being a one person consultant to a bona fide consulting firm, and in doing so was surprised at the pride she felt in founding a company. Especially a company that can really make change in the world and employ people, even during a recession!

More to come in the book…

Thank you, Sara!
