After our visit with Genevieve, we headed up to Evanston to meet the duo behind Kelly + Olive. We not only got to meet Courtney and Lauren, but their adorable French bulldog as well – Adelaide was in heaven. The ladies were hilarious and aside from some great laughs here are some things we left thinking about:

Adelaide – I was impressed that when these ladies got started, they didn’t “just” go for it – they had tremendous success just by reaching out and telling people (including those at magazines and blogs) of their launch. These initial efforts have netted them many ongoing press relationships and opportunities.

Amy – I loved that Courtney and Lauren felt that entrepreneurship has not been as hard as everyone said it would be – particularly because they were not afraid to put themselves out there in the beginning!
